Jerold E. Novack serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of Bluerock Real Estate. The national firm, which formed in 2002, operates as a private equity real estate asset manager focusing on Core-Plus, Value-Add, Opportunistic and Development investment strategies. In the last 13 years, Bluerock has conducted over 9 million square feet of residential and commercial real estate acquisitions.
Joining the firm 11 years ago, Novack has contributed invaluable expertise in the area of public and private financings, operations, and management. As the CFO-SEVP, Novack specializes in start-ups and turnarounds with extensive business development experience in diverse industries including real estate, restaurant management, and retail.
Prior to joining the team at Bluerock, Jerry Novack obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. He gained years of experience serving as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of New World Restaurant Group, Inc., now known as Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. During his time, he was responsible for leading financial information systems, as well as administrating legal and human resources with responsibility for marketing and manufacturing. Novack also led SEC reporting, annual reporting, and proxy statements, all while overseeing approximately 70 employees.
With over 25 years of experience, Jerry Novack is an integral part of Blue Rock Real Estate’s success. His extensive background in specialities ranging from capital raising and strategic planning and execution to corporate and business unit leadership and marketing and sales has played an integral role in his philanthropic background.
